A Blog About Nothing
I read an article not long ago about blogging and how to get started. One of the tips suggested that before you build and begin posting to your blog, you should first decide what you want your blog to be about. Some people are into photography or travel and decide to blog about their hobby, while others create what are referred to as “mommy blogs” where you basically record your experiences as a mother. Still others call themselves “food blogs” in which all of the posts are either about restaurants they have visited or recipes they have created. Clearly, I didn’t read this article when I should have because my blog is essentially, a “Blog about Nothing.” Anyone who remembers Seinfeld may recall that Jerry and George were constantly trying to pitch a concept to NBC to have a “show about nothing.” It was basically just a bunch of everyday observations and absurd goings on. It’s ironic that I would draw a comparison to my blog and one of my all-time favorite television shows. Rarely a week passes by that Kevin and I don’t find some quirky little reference to Seinfeld that mirrors an experience or observation in our own lives. "Big Salad" or "Man Hands" ring a bell? I miss Seinfeld. We need to find more humor in the things about nothing in our lives. Life is too short to not find a reason to laugh everyday. Even if you are laughing over nothing.
