OSU, 36 vs. Miami, 24
Kevin and I enjoyed a much-deserved Saturday afternoon at the 'Shoe this weekend. For those of you not familiar with Ohio State Football, the 'Shoe refers to the stadium, Ohio Stadium, where The Ohio State University Buckeyes play football. The stadium is better known as The Horseshoe, due to the shape of the structure, or "The 'Shoe" for short. It took some fancy planning ahead, (something I am very good at), and two dedicated grandparents to pull it off, though. Owen and Jenna each had a noon soccer game and we needed to be on the road for campus by about 12:30. Let's keep in mind that when I realized our scheduling issue about a month ago, I knew my parents were planning to leave on vacation sometime in early September. Fortunately, they were willing to postpone their date of departure by one day allowing for them to cheer on the sidelines of my kids' soccer games while we headed to the game to cheer on the Buckeyes!
We had a great day, despite the brief outbursts of rain during the game. It could have been so much worse. Sitting in the rain watching the Buckeyes stifle the supposed Miami swagger was well worth getting a little bit soggy! Here are just a few highlights of the afternoon...
Pregame Tailgate Party on The Oval.
A somber 9/11 remembrance.
The National Anthem sung by Columbus' own, Rascal Flatts!
Yet another Buckeye touchdown!
C-Deck serenade from some of TBDBITL's top brass!
