Today's Funny

This morning at breakfast, Owen asks me, "Mommy, what kind of tree can you hold in your hand?" I am usually pretty good at figuring out the punchline to my kids' jokes. After giving it much thought, I am stumped and tell him I give up. A broad smile spreads across his sweet little four year old face. He looks at me and says, "A palm tree! Get it?!" The best part was when he said "get it?!" as if I didn't actually get it. He was especially proud to tell me that joke because he knows that palm trees are, hands down, my absolute most favorite tree. I asked him where he learned that joke, figuring he learned it in his Highlights magazine. He said he heard it on tv. Okay, so tv isn't all bad afterall.
